The Malta Football Referees Association recently entertained thirty new European football referees to an evening out in Paceville.  The referees were in Malta undergoing a course for new International referees organised by UEFA in conjunction with the Malta Football Association

  After a walkabout to witness the hustle and bustle of Malta's top night spot, the referees and their Maltese hosts were invited for a drink by the management of the Sports Cafe' where they were impressed by the set up enabling people to watch different sports at the same time.  They later visited Axis Discotheque as guests of the management

  A spokesman for the European referees praised the efforts of the local referees association to make their stay an enjoyable one.  The evening out was a break from the rigorous training and lectures they had to undergo during their four day stay in Malta
